Books start conversations.

Chicago Story Collective: Chapter & Craft brings together readers, local writers, and book lovers for a small-format literary evening built around stories, thoughtful discussion, and relaxed community connection.

The program combines short author readings, moderated conversation, small-group literary prompts, and an optional bring-one/take-one book exchange.

This is not a large book fair or vendor marketplace.

There are no long stage speeches, aggressive sales pitches, or mandatory networking rounds.

A live host remains present throughout the event to manage check-in, introduce authors, facilitate discussion, guide transitions, and close the evening.

Attendance is intentionally limited so that the room feels conversational rather than crowded.
