CHAPSTICK is like going to a party with your friends and friends of friends. We want to help build a strong, vibrant, radical queer community and accessing joy is part of that. We are so excited to bring you new DJs, performances, social mixers, quiet spaces to chat, play games and cuddle, a makeup artist to glitter your gorgeous faces, live tattooing on site, and an incredible new event space. We aim to make this space as safe as possible.

What to Wear: Dress in a way that makes you feel amazing! Vintage and retro, cargo pants, sexy or kink gear- wear whatever makes you feel most like yourself.

Event Space and Accessibility Info: The event space has art studio/loft/warehouse vibes and is located up two flights of stairs at Dupont and Ossington. Sadly this venue is not accessible, but please message us if you have accessibility needs as we are working on some workarounds. The ceilings are high and ventilation is good, but please wear a mask if that’s what makes you feel most comfortable. For sensory needs, there will be quieter spaces, and there will be coloured lighting and some changes in lighting (but no strobe lights). There are two single stall, accessible, non-gendered washrooms in the space.

Harm Reduction: We will have harm reduction kits for safer use and naloxone kits at the bar and in the loft area. The bathrooms are single stall and lock, so please keep this in mind. We have limited washrooms so please feel free to use the loft space for any harm reduction needs. Many of our volunteers are first aid and harm reduction trained, and you can ask any of the bar staff for Cate or Natalie or find staff with glowing arm bands if you need any assistance or support.

Safety Info: We are aiming to build a radical space for the 2SLGBTQI+ community to revel in joy and pleasure, and part of that work lies in recognizing power and privilege in these spaces. Racism, transphobia, queerphobia, ableism, slut shaming, fat shaming, or any other oppressive behaviour will not be tolerated. Organizers will be wearing glowing armbands, please connect with us if you have issues of any kind.

Tickets: We have 3 tiers of tickets- 1) BIPOC folx- $25, 2) General- $33 and 3) The Benefits of Capitalism- $40. CHAPSTICK is a non-profit venture, where we are spending every last dollar on bringing you an incredible experience in a safe and inclusive space. If you can’t afford the cost of a ticket, please reach out. Cost should never be a barrier to accessing our party. In saying that, if you are able to afford the $40 ticket, know that you are offsetting the cost of a ticket for someone else to attend and you are doing your part in creating a queer community that values wealth distribution.
