Changemaker Community Series: Dumpling Party with Women Changemakers

A safe place for women changemakers (and aspiring women changemakers) to meet one another;

A small-scale gathering where you can actually have intentional conversations with everyone;

A community you show up and participate equally as an agent of change;

A space to exchange stories and find inspirations to bring collective impact;

A tribe you can come back to every month as your support network and build authentic friendship.

This is what this gathering is about. For women changemakers.

On November 11 evening, we will have a dumpling gathering (and dinner) with women change-makers, making and sharing vegetarian dumplings together. There is a special kind of joy when we are connected to the food we make and eat, with our consciousness and presence. In this gathering, we will explore the interconnectivity between food, body, and planet. You will get to meet other women change makers, while making (and eating) the vegetarian dumplings*. No prior dumpling-making experience or skills needed.

We will be co-hosting with Cindy Chan of FOODISDOM, that aims at providing 'consciousness' nourishment to those who are destined for it, in order to make wise choices for their own health, all animals, and our beloved Earth.

“We human live on the resources of mother earth. Naturally, when earth is sick, so will our bodies… For decades scientists contribute to the discovery of new materials, foods and energies, delivering us earth- friendly choices in hopes to reverse the problems. However, it is ultimately up to us human to choose to change, or else problems remain.”

*We will start folding the dumplings at 6pm and cook at 7pm. Dinner will start at around 730pm and finish by 830pm.

What is Changemaker Community Series?

The idea of the Changemaker Community Series started when Dorothy (Dream Impact) and Carmen (Girls Be Change) met last year, questioning and envisioning what an ideal community is and why we need to gather (so desperately). We need a safe place among women changemakers to have organic meetups, intentional conversations and idea exchange with social ease, find inspirations and encouragement from each other, and build authentic friendships and support networks. It is a gathering where everyone shows up as an equal participant, questioning and chatting. No panel. No presentation. No speech. Just intentional conversations.

This gathering is open only to women/womxn changemakers (and aspiring women/womxn changemakers).

Fee: HKD 80 for ESG Innovation Lab Members or Dream Impact Partner/ HKD100 for non-members

Ticket includes: Entry to the event, one serving (around 10 pieces) of vegetarian dumplings

Carmen is a people-driven entrepreneur. Since the age of 25, she has been running her own ventures, including her namesake jewelry brand, Carmen Chan Jewelry; creative agency, Studio C; and lately, her new social business, Girls Be Change.

Girls Be Change is a social business that enables and empowers girls and women to be changemakers and explorers of their worlds.
