With great sadness we must say goodbye to Samson and Marco as one heads back to Malaysia and the other goes galavanting.
Every chapter must come to an end, but let's do so with the energy and empathy that both these guys are known for! Samson and Marco have been there since the genesis of Champagne Jacket and it is not going to be the same without them.
We are supported by the ever supportive Emma Yue, whose honest and vulnerable songwriting I share an affinity for, please do make it down to see her set. Emma and I have been making parallel tracks through the Melbourne music scene since our mentoring session with the great Pat Pattison and sharing a post lockdown stage at the Espy. So it's fitting that she is supporting on this end-of-an-era Champagne Jacket gig.
