What wine pairs well with closing a small business you've worked so hard to build? Champagne of course!!
About this Event

Join us for an exclusive class dedicated to the bubbly stuff—champagne and all the other sparkling wines that wish they could be called champagne but just missed the French memo. This course is a tribute to our beloved wine store’s closing chapter (yes, pour one out, but make it a good vintage, please).

We’ll dive deep into the world of bubbles: from those high-class champagnes that make you feel fancy (even if you're just in sweatpants) to the Coorpinat/Cava, Cremant, etc that are all perfect for when you're feeling... like you want to pretend you're drinking champagne but don’t want to commit to the price. Think of it as a sparkling farewell party for our shop, where every glass you raise is a toast to all the wine spills, mispronounced varietals, and that one customer from the very first class who declared she learned everything about wine from the CT wine trail. She never returned for another class. That was probably a good thing.

AT THIS TIME...please pay attention and read carefully. If you have to ask too many questions, then you haven't read the instructions thoroughly.

  • Come for the fun, the bubbles, the friendships, the memories and the laughs—but if you plan to bring/have brought any bad vibes in the past or you plan on being a pain in the cork, feel free to sit this one out.
  • Price is $40 per person which will include the class, the glass, accompaniments, and/or nibbles. We will discuss pairings once we have our group.
  • We'll give everyone interested until Wednesday 9/18/2024 to register and pay.
  • Must be 21+ to attend
  • Name(s) registered on the RSVP are the names that must be attending. No passing tickets off to someone else who wanted to come but might have fallen onto the naughty list over the 8 years.
  • If you have any other questions, please reread the above.

Carol and I hope to see many of you here. We hope to pack the store with as many people as she can fit, following local fire ordinances. If need be we will set up additional tables/seating out on the sidewalk. Maybe we'll sell off the tables and chairs, make it standing room only, and finally install that disco ball I've been dying to put in. We dunno!! We're a bit unpredictable right now as we come to THE END.

CIAO!
