Boise Phil’s Chamber Series continues in its new home, Shrine Social Club, one of Boise’s most iconic music venues and a vibrant gathering place for live performance. Known for its historic charm, intimate acoustics, and welcoming atmosphere, Shrine Social Club offers the perfect setting to experience chamber music up close.The evening begins with Beethoven’s Quintet, Op. 71: a delightful showcase of the woodwind family at play. Brimming with wit, warmth, and elegant craftsmanship, this quintet reveals Beethoven’s genius for turning musical conversation into pure joy.
Then, immerse yourself in the lush emotion of Tchaikovsky’s Souvenir de Florence, a passionate work for string sextet inspired by the composer’s time in Italy. It’s a piece that sings with lyricism and energy, weaving together moments of tenderness and exuberant intensity.
