The Marine Band’s Fall Chamber Music Series will conclude with the concert, “A Musical Mission: Inside the Composer’s Mind and Soundscape,” at 2 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 27 at Capitol Hill’s historic Christ Church and Washington Parish. Coordinated by violinist Master Sgt. Sheng-Tsung Wang, this concert features music by Johann Sebastian Bach, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, and David Maslanka. The program aims to take a musical look at the intentional nature each composer took in creating his work, from a solo violin working to sound like many parts to a horn quintet working to sound as one. The concert is free and no tickets are required.
