About this Event
What a beautiful concert is awaiting you! San Diego Symphony accomplished dynamic fun talented musicians will present an intriguing chamber music program that will leave you inspired!
Anton Arensky's (1861-1906) string quartet, written in 1894 for violin, viola and two cellos, is his most important work, heavily influenced by Petr Iljic Tchaikovsky. It will charm you with unusual timber and its elegiac mood. Franz Schubert (1797 - 1828) does not need much introduction! The presented string quintet for two violins, viola and two cellos is his very last and one of the most admired works!
You will be in good hands with our dynamic passionate host and especially our talented musicians: Ai Nihira Awata (Cleveland Institute of Music, Yale University), Igor Pandurski (Zagreb Music Academy, Rice University), Kenneth Liao (USC, Julliard), Nathan Walhout (Rice, Michigan University School of Music), Maximus Gurath (Rice University). All of these wonderful musicians will bring chamber music alive just for you with their unique interpretation and virtuosic performance.
Homemade European goodies and refreshments along with the cozy historical hall and fabulous audience that these concerts attract, will make for a pleasant and invigorating evening! Join us!
