Every week there’s a new opinion on what you’re supposed to be doing to market your business. LinkedIn, TikTok, SEO, GEO, email, Google ads...the list keeps growing. So how do you know where to spend your time, budget and energy?

We’re doing Chamber Breakfast a little differently this month, hearing from Managing Director of Creative Blend, Grant Jennings.

As well as sharing some of the experiences that shaped his career, Grant is going to take us on a whistlestop tour of how a data-led mindset can help you make smarter marketing and business development decisions.

From sifting through dashboards and jargon, he’ll tell you what to look at to help you understand your market, focus your marketing efforts and attract the right opportunities.

And, it wouldn’t be a talk on marketing without an honourable mention of AI. With AI-powered search an almost unavoidable part of our experience online, Grant will share what you can do to improve your business’ visibility in AI-driven search results and tools using your new-found data.

About this event

The Chamber’s monthly Breakfast at Bill’s is very popular, so you’ll need to book early.

50 to 80 business people from Brighton and the surrounding areas come together to meet, eat and network on the fourth Friday of each month*.

There is a wide range of people who attend from all sectors and all sizes. From sole traders and start-ups to some of the biggest businesses in the city.

Each month there is a guest speaker, who'll talk about their own experiences of running a business and their own personal journey.

What you can expect:

• Make new connections through informal networking.
• Hear from a brilliant speaker, who'll talk us through their personal and business story, the highs, and the lows.
• Enjoy breakfast with like-minded people.
• No need to pitch, as we can make an introduction if there’s someone you’d like to meet.
• Find new local customers and suppliers.

Breakfast options: If you are anything like us, you’ll want to know what’s on the menu in advance. You will choose what you’d like on the day

Here are the options:

• Cooked meat - Fried free-range eggs, Cumberland sausage, smoked streaky bacon, roasted plum tomatoes, mushrooms and toast (gluten-free/dairy-free available).
• Avocado on sourdough - Harrisa and lemon dressed cherry tomatoes, coriander and lime, on sourdough with avocado and spinach mix (vegan. gluten-free available).
• Berry pancakes - A stack of buttermilk pancakes served with syrup, berries and whipped vanilla cream (vegan and gluten-free available).
• Granola - Fresh fruit, dried cranberries, cinnamon, syrup, yoghurt and granola (vegan and gluten-free).
• Eggs florentine - Poached free-range eggs, wilted spinach and hollandaise served on a toasted muffin (gluten-free available).

There is also tea, coffee and water available throughout the event.

*Chamber Breakfasts are held on the fourth Friday of each month, except in December when it is slightly earlier.

What's the refund policy? Tickets are refundable up to 4 working days before the event start time. After this deadline, tickets are non-refundable; however, they may be transferred to another person for the same event or to another event of the same value. To arrange a transfer, please email Poppy at with the booking name and details of the new attendee or preferred alternative event.

*Eventbrite booking fees are non-refundable unless the event is cancelled or there are duplicate charges.

Can I attend if I am not a member of the Chamber? If you have never been a member of the Chamber you can book and join as a guest at two of our events (just one Chamber Breakfast).
