The full title of this class offering is "Challenging Relationships and Buddhist Recovery Practices for Restoring Equanimity."<h4>As described by Andy,</h4>
"Our connection with human beings may be a source of deep joy as well as a source of profound suffering and confusion. When relationship challenges arise connected to a family member or friend’s substance abuse, mental health challenges, physical illness, or erratic behavior, we may become reactive, non-compassionate and controlling."
- Explore, understand and accept the particular relationship dilemmas we face.
- Craft paths for personal healing and equanimity, while grappling with approaches for maintaining compassion and boundaries with others.
- Informed by Buddhist thought, mindfulness practices, and Alanon wisdom, we will investigate practical applications and examine the usefulness and paradoxes of various concepts -“boundaries,” “no self,” “codependence.”
- Is offered on a sliding scale of $50 - $200, which includes a donation for the teacher. But, we never turn anyone away for lack of funds. There is also a donation amount on Eventbrite for folks who may finding it challenging to pay the suggested sliding scale.
- Contact Andy at [email protected] if you have any questions or need a full scholarship.
- Registration closes after the second class on September 10.
