The 17th Annual Dogwood Arts Chalk Walk will return to Downtown Knoxville on Saturday, April 5, 2025! Thousands of art lovers head downtown each year to experience this live art competition. Chalk Walk features over 300 artists and collaborative teams working on-site from 8am-5pm to complete their artwork. The awards ceremony will begin at 7pm on the Market Square Stage.

See the sidewalks in Downtown Knoxville come to life into a seemingly infinite canvas for the region’s most talented professional and emerging artists. Chalk Walk is completely free and open to the public.

Kids Chalk Free! Kids of all ages can create their own chalk masterpieces with free chalk provided by First Horizon Bank in the First Horizon Fun Zone—located on Market Street directly behind the East Tenneessee Historical Society. The People’s Choice Award, presented by WIVK FM-107.7, will allow guests to text-to-vote for their favorite square.
