Chalice, Goblets, and Grails: Clay Handbuilding

Whether you want to call it a chalice, goblet, martini vase, or a fancy pet water bowl, step into the world of sacred vessels and timeless design with our Chalice-Making Pottery Class. This unique workshop is all about creating your own beautifully crafted chalice, a piece that’s as functional as it is artistic. Perfect for beginners and seasoned potters alike.

Each student will recieve 1lb or terracotta or white clay. Its your choice if you'd like one large chalice or multiple small ones. Your instructor will guide you through the process, from crafting the bowl to adding details like a stem, texture, and embellishments that make your chalice uniquely yours.

When the class is over your pieces will spend three weeks drying and getting fired in the kiln. Once your piece(s) are fired you will be able to pick up as is, or there you can come back in to glaze your pieces at the galley for $10. Please note: Pieces are not considered food safe without glaze.
