36,000 people require emergency room treatment each year from chainsaw injuries. The average injury requires 110 stitches. Gain the knowledge and confidence to safety operate a chainsaw as part of your invasive species management and land steward operations.
Join us for a workshop led by Purdue Extension forester, Don Carlson for classroom and field based education on chainsaw safety so you don't become a statistic.
We ask for a $10 donation to take part in the workshop. Each participant will receive resources including a Buckthorn Blaster herbicide dauber bottle (valued at over $10). HIP volunteers and anyone for whom the registration donation presents a financial barrier are encouraged to email [email protected] to receive a discount code for free registration.
