Chainmail Jewellery: Byzantine Earrings

Join us at The Boneyard to explore the art of chainmail through jewellery-making in this fun, hands-on workshop.

You’ll be learning the Byzantine weave, a beautiful and versatile pattern that's still beginner-friendly. You'll use your newfound skills to create your own earrings, customisable with a variety of gems and charms!

Blending pattern, rhythm, and wearable design, the session will explore two approachable chainmail weaves, introduce you to jump rings and jewellery pliers, and ensure you leave with a wearable pair of earrings created entirely from scratch.

Expect a relaxed and friendly setting, lots of support, and a little bit of nerdy chainmail knowledge!

Notes:

All equipment and materials are provided, but participants will need to be able to use pliers with both hands to fully enjoy this workshop. Under 18s are welcome as long as accompanied by a responsible adult. The venue is on street level, but unfortunately does not have accessible toilet facilities as they are on the first floor.
