***CHANGE OF PLAN***Well, VetPaddlers, I just got off the phone with the Winter Park Lakes Division. The powers that be, still have Lake Maitland closed, so transit through the Venetian canal to Kraft Azalea Garden Park is prohibited. That being the case, we have to switch gears. TAVARES BOAT RAMP, LAKE EUSTIS TO WOOTEN PARK, LAKE DORA
10am launch from the Tavares boat ramp on Lake Eustis, through one of the most beautiful canals in the state, into Lake Dora, over to Wooten Park for a picnic, and back...
This will be a very easy paddle, 2.5 miles each way, with little current.
Sorry for the change, but this gives everyone that still wants to attend, time to adjust. Hope to still see everyone there!

So this event will be a "out of town" for much of the N FL crowd. However, this is an AWESOME paddle. It starts at Dinky Dock, at Rollins College. Parking is limited, so get there a bit early if you can. From Dinky Dock, on Lake Virginia, we'll paddle through the first canal to Lake Osceola. We'll continue across Lake Osceola to the Venetian Canal that leads to Lake Maitland. As you enter Lake Maitland, there's beautiful Kraft Azalea Garden, a great place to stop for a picnic. Although some like stopping at Dog Island, it's a bit wild. Anyway, we can head back with a quick loop around Dog Island, back through the canal, across Lake Osceola, through the last canal, and back to Dinky Dock. We hope to see your there!
