Chaffee History Happy Hour | Special Event

This one has been a long time coming.
Last August, seven groups pitched events they wanted Chaffee Remote to put on. The community voted. This is the one that won.
Join us for an evening at the Salida Museum — a happy hour with a twist. We'll kick things off with a roughly 30-minute history presentation covering the deep history of Chaffee County: the geography, early settlement, Native American history, and what brought people here to play and build a life long before any of us showed up. No mining, no railroads — that's covered plenty elsewhere. We're going way back.
After the program, the museum is yours to explore. Museum board and staff will be joining us too, so it's a real chance to connect with the people who keep this place alive.
We're bringing the drinks and snacks.
