Friday nights just got even hotter at Sonshine’s Royal Ballroom—Cha-Cha is here to turn up the energy and make it a true dance party!Cha-Cha (or Cha-Cha-Cha) is that lively, flirty Latin dance with its signature "cha-cha-cha" rhythm—quick, playful triple steps mixed with rock steps that give it a fun, syncopated bounce. It's energetic yet smooth, perfect for upbeat Latin tunes, and those hip actions and sharp breaks make it super expressive and addictive once you get the groove.
Lynn Thornton is back teaching the lesson from 7:00–7:45 PM, breaking down the basics (like the side basic, forward/back rock steps, and those iconic triple cha-chas) in her approachable, welcoming style. Then dive right into the dance party/social from 7:45–10:00 PM to practice, mix it up with other dancers, and feel the confidence build as the night goes on.
Whether you're new to Latin dances, brushing up on your moves, coming solo, with a partner, or with friends—everyone's welcome, and no partner is required for the social portion. It's a fantastic, high-energy way to kick off the weekend!
