About this Event
Strategic autonomy is a growing necessity for middle powers like Canada. Diversifying energy trade is one avenue for growing strategic autonomy. However, to diversify this trade, Canada needs investment and a clear path to global competitiveness for these critical commodities.
The Canadian Global Affairs Institute invites you to join an upcoming summit bringing together leading energy analysts, industry leaders, and policymakers to unpack the factors underlining Canadian energy competitiveness.
Conference speakers include:
- Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Tim Hodgson
- Lisa Baiton, President and CEO, Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers
- Jack Mintz, President's Fellow, UofC School of Public Policy
- Jay Khosla, Executive Director, Economic and Energy Policy, Public Policy Forum
- Susan Bell, Senior Vice President, Downstream, Rystad Energy
This symposium will feature introductory remarks by the host, followed by a keynote speech, presentations, and panels focused on the current state of Canadian energy and where the industry and policy is headed. The Summit will follow the Chatham House Rule to allow for frank discussion of the issues raised. The full even program can be found on CGAI's website: 2026 CGAI Energy Analyst Summit
This summit is made possible with the support of Ovintiv, ConocoPhillips Canada, Tourmaline Oil, Cenovus Energy, AltaGas, and the Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers.
