CFRT Passport Series at Rick's Place : Age 10 to 14

Rick’s Place partners with The Cape Fear Regional Theater (CFRT) to offer the Passport Series, an introduction to playwriting and theater for young performers. The series runs for eight weeks, ending in a final performance of an original script written by the program participants for family and friends to attend.

The emphasis is on teaching participants to hone their writing skills while bouncing ideas to sharpen their metaphorical and physical voices.

This mini-class is offered to two different age groups on Wednesdays. Rick’s Place is honored to host CFRT’s Passport Series for Military Children.

10 to 14 years old: 5:45 pm – 6:45 pm

The program lasts for 8 weeks and classes will meet every Wednesday for each age group. The Passport Series offers instruction from professionals in the field for children who desire a creative outlet. During the series, students will collaborate to learn how to create, write, and perform an original story while using their imagination and gaining self-confidence!

Participants of the Passport Series must be able to attend every Wednesday as the natural progression of the program requires consistent attendance from all participants. In addition, the age range for this program is strict to ensure all participants can receive equal assistance from the instructor.

You will be asked for proof of Military Affiliation at the first session of this program. Have your Military ID available. If you have any questions about what qualifies as proof of affiliation, please reach out to the team at Rick’s Place.

Each participant is required to register for this program, with 1 ticket needed per individual. The start and end times are prompt. Showing up late means less detailed instructions on the project. Parents are not permitted to attend the program with their children.
