About this Event
Purpose: Following on from the Re-energising event at Tūranga last month, CEWC are running two workshops to bring together people interested to lead or support collective action on just energy transitions in Canterbury. Through these sessions we will review and co-create CEWC’s updated purpose, model and collective action plan.
Agenda:
Workshop 1 (11th August)
- Welcome and introductions
- Recap on CEWC’s background, purpose, framework for collective action; and learnings since 2022
- Align on any changes to CEWC’s purpose and model (currently being an informal platform for collective action) and how this is organised and managed.
- Review the original collective action themes (data, energy literacy, healthy homes and community energy) to test whether these remain priorities. Identify any missing priority themes based on the ‘energy in the room’
Workshop 2 (25th August - TBC)
- Recap from part 1
- Develop an initial plan for each theme, including: who has an interest and could contribute; initial, tangible actions for the next 3-6 months; commitments and how we hold each other to account.
- Next steps
- Wrap up
Please arrive from 4.30 for a 5pm start. We look forward to seeing you there!
