CEU | The Movement of Brazilian Modernism
About this Event
Join Hyphn and Kayser Wesner as they host this CEU, presented by Jonathan Durling, Founder and CEO of Sossego. Jonathan's experience living in Brazil and building his business bring depth and warmth to this thoughtful, beautifully illustrated course on Brazilian modernism.
The Modern Art Week of February 1922 launched the Brazilian Modernism movement, putting the country's art on the international map while marking a century of independence from Portugal. Defined by curves, color, and a deep connection to nature, the movement's designers and artists paid homage to Brazilian culture while championing sustainability — a legacy that continues through today's designers.
