Ceschi, daedwin, and James Norman live at The Echo Bridge

Dear Friends of The Echo Bridge Appreciation Society,

We are excited to bring to you a night of music and poetry under the bridge.

daedwin is the project of longtime San Antonio multi-hyphenate Edwin Stephens. He has produced albums by some of San Antonio's finest, and has also had a long career as both a musician and singer/songwriter through several projects including Blowing Trees, Wally Dead Walrus, Fisherman, and daedwin. He plays cosmic gospel with a pinch of funk to keep it groovy, a pinch of chamber music to keep it transcendental, and his falsetto has been described as angelic by me, just now.

Ceschi (pronounced chess-key) is a combination rapper and folksinger from New Haven, Connecticut. He has released so many albums in his decades long career that he eventually decided to form his own record label, Fake Four, which specializes in progressive hip hop. His songs are freedom songs, to be sung by free people in unison at high volumes, which pretty much summarizes the experience of attending a Ceschi show. He has performed across the world, and he is an inspiration to many across the world as well.

James Norman is an anachronism, perhaps the last of the vagabond poets, wandering around the country in his bright blue van. He does carpentry to afford his discount chicken and rice, and he has managed to cobble together some eleven collections of poetry from his misadventures. When carpentry work is slim, he is not above digging ditches, which might actually be the kind of work that is closest to writing poetry. Sometimes he hosts readings, trying to make the argument that poetry is for the people, not the textbooks.

The show starts at 4:30 sharp so plan on arriving a little early at Tandem (310 Riverside Rd.) to grab a cold drink and find a spot under the bridge. Get your tickets fast because these tickets will not last and seats are limited.

There is a $15 suggested donation for each ticket. The proceeds will go to the artists. The concert might be filmed and we always welcome documentation/taping from the viewers.

We ask that you keep your voice down during the show so as to not effect your neighbors experience.

We encourage you to bring a blanket or small lightweight folding chairs and to wear comfortable footwear for a short walk down a trail from Tandem to the Bridge. Please wear comfortable shoes.
