Separate registration, scheduling, and payment are required.
Take the training needed to sit for the State of Florida Certification test. This 50-hour course includes the required 30-hour prerequisites including:
- Communication and Education
- Resources
- Advocacy
- Foundations of Health
- Professional Responsibility
- Practical/Electives: 18 hours
Classes are scheduled from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm (time subject to change) each Wednesday for eight weeks. An additional four weeks are allotted to complete the 18-hour practical. Each graduate will receive a certificate of completion which can be submitted to the Florida Certification Board to apply for the certification exam.
Complete course price is $1,498.00
*Additional work or volunteer experience required.
