Come and join our team! Learn how to help your family, neighbors, friends, and community in times of need! We teach skills for disaster response like emergency preparedness, First Aid, basic fire suppression, and light search and rescue. We train monthly. We respond to calls for service under the direction of the Alcorn County EMA director. And we engage in community outreach and service.
You must
- live in or near Alcorn County, Mississippi and
- be at least 16 years of age and
- be able bodied.
Pre-registration and background check REQUIRED! Class times will be Friday from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm and Saturday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. Location to be announced. Instruction is mostly classroom with some hands-on training.
