Each Friday in October, we celebrate a different goddess of witchcraft by throwing a big party and making offerings!
Cerridwen is honored on October 25th with music by Erno. Dress to embody Cerridwen and bring any offerings you wish to place on our altar.
? In Celtic Welsh mythology, Cerridwen is a powerful Underworld Goddess and the keeper of the cauldron of knowledge, inspiration, and rebirth. She rules the realms of death, fertility, regeneration, inspiration, magic, enchantment, and knowledge. Cerridwen is a shape-shifting Goddess, able to take on various forms. She is known as a white witch or goddess and is also associated with herbology and astrology.
? Cerridwen represents the need for change that a transformation is at hand. It is time to examine what circumstances in your life no longer serve you. Something must die so that something new and better can be born. You can tap into her ceaseless energy to plant seeds of change and pursue their growth with your own power.
? Deeply rooted in the Detroit music scene, Ernie Guerra aka Erno embodies the varied styles of music the city is known to produce. Dabbling in nothing and involved with everything, Erno has been DJing and producing for over 10 years. His sets can be best described as disco and classic house having a love affair with techno, showcasing his love of over 4 decades of dance music. The backbone is funk but is adapted to modern day dance music to create a continuous experience, psychedelic even. Erno is a forefront member of Tour Detroit, the legendary summer party series that traveled to random venues each month. Also a record collector, he co-hosts a weekly 100% vinyl, crate digging night called Slow Jams, which is 7 years and running.?
