Minimum 2, Maximum 8 people 

Create a long and colorful ceramic wall hanging up to 48” long or two shorter ones. They hand vertically indoors or outdoors. (It was photographed curled up so it would fit into the photo space).

You’ll create shapes (and beads) from clay and add textures and colorful glazes. Each piece will be fired twice in a kiln (between classes). On the last day, you’ll assemble your fired pieces with your choice of twine, silver wire, or rusty wire.

Shapes are silhouette-style (just the outline of the subject). You'll have the choice of forming the shapes freehand (artsy) or with templates (in this case cookie cutters) (crafty).  Either method turn out great! 

I will have several cookie cutters and also photocopies of subjects available to trace onto the clay. Sizes of each pieces are about 3"- 5".  Shapes that I will provide templates for are leaves, cactus, trees, suns, houses, flowers, hearts, stars, holiday shapes… Let me know if there is another subject you are interested in. Feel free to also bring any from home if you'd like - cookie cutters or simple outline drawings.
