Enrich your home-school day with clay! Get inspired by the art in our galleries, and learn to create your very own wheel-thrown ceramic artworks.
Together, we’ll delve into the basics of wheelwork, practicing techniques like wedging, centering clay, and shaping functional forms. As the final touch, we’ll explore vibrant glazing methods to add color and ensure the durability of our creations!
No prior experience is required; this class is aimed at developing the foundational skills necessary to work creatively with clay.
All materials, including one 25-pound bag of clay per student are provided. Works created during this class will be kiln- and glaze-fired. Students will be contacted by the Museum for later pickup of finished artworks.
