The 'Ceramica 2024' Demonstration WeekendFrom July 26th to 28th, 2024, South Wales Potters (SWP) proudly presents the next instalment of the 'Ceramica' weekends, a hallmark event within the SWP calendar. Held alternately with the International Ceramic Festival, 'Ceramica' has been a pivotal gathering for many years.
This year, we are thrilled to announce our distinguished demonstrators, Susan O’Byrne from Scotland and Ireland and Niek Hoogland from the Netherlands—both globally renowned ceramicists.
The 'Ceramica' weekend provides members with a unique opportunity to connect, fully immerse themselves in ceramics, engage in conversations with fellow members, and witness the expertise of the demonstrators. Attendees can also participate in hands-on sessions facilitated by the demonstrators.
In contrast to the International Ceramic Festival (ICF), the 'Ceramica' weekend offers an intimate atmosphere, allowing for a deeper engagement with the two demonstrators. They work collaboratively, providing numerous opportunities for the audience to ask questions and engage in discussions, resulting in an enriching and entertaining experience.
