About this Event
Sgraffito is a decoration technique where color is applied to unfired work and then scratched away to reveal the natural clay. Popularized during the Italian Renaissance, sgraffito creates striking high contrast surfaces. In this easy, focused workshop we’ll create drink coaster sets decorated with sgraffito carvings. For beginners, or intermediate ceramicists who want to learn more about surface decoration.
