Aim of the workshop is to explore, apprehend tecniques & steps to work with ceramics .
1) Introduction to the material: strengths and weaknesses of the material. The fundamental rules for making a durable piece.
2) Short history of clay: origins, techniques and examples ( ceramic vocabolary : Black firing, terracotta , bisque fire , stone ware etc...) *Homework: Find a picture of an object made of ceramics that inspires you.
3) Feedback - requests- Q&A
exploring the tecniques ( free modelling, macaroni tecnique , flatware , assemling with slick...etc..)
Basic material will be provided, please wear/bring working clothes
