About this Event

Are you currently looking for work? Is your background check preventing you from finding gainful employment? Please join the BERC in hosting the Center for Employment Opportunities (CEO), a reentry employment program for justice-involved individuals. CEO assists individuals with backgrounds with immediate work, on-going employment services, and vocational training opportunities. In this workshop, CEO will introduce their services and provide guidance on navigating employment with a background.

You will learn about:

● CEO’s transitional employment program and training opportunities

● Your rights and the laws surrounding fair-chance, including “Ban the Box” and the WOTC

● Tips and tricks on answering the conviction question
