About this Event
As the academic year draws to a close, the UCL Centre for Humanities Education invites colleagues to come together to reflect on innovative approaches to teaching and learning. The event will feature presentations from colleagues leading projects funded by CHE, who will share their experiences, findings, and emerging examples of best practice.
We’ll hear from:
- Chiara Mignani (UCL Arts and Sciences), presenting research into emerging collaborative teaching models, examining how they function across different disciplinary contexts and their impact on student engagement, learning quality, and critical thinking
- Mazal Oaknin (UCL School of European Languages, Culture and Society), presenting about their workshop designed to strengthen assessment literacy and foster belonging among first-generation Philosophy undergraduates, alongside the development of a related resource.
- Alex Samson (UCL School of European Languages, Culture and Society), presenting about their theatre adaptation, translation, and performance project focused on Golden Age theatre, combining creative forms of assessment with practice-based, real-world learning activities.
- Winnie Soon and Lily Chasioti (The Slade School of Fine Art), presenting about their workshops on “Self-Hosted Infrastructure for Art and Technology Education”, which explored ways to enhance digital literacy, critical engagement, and interdisciplinarity.
Expect engaging discussion, exciting ideas, and lively conversation!
Refreshments will be provided.
