Centrala presents Split Horizons, a collaborative screening event between Silhouette and Baan Noorg Art Collective. The programme features a lineup of skateboarding films that explore the culture, architecture, and creative expression of skate communities across two distinct locations culminating in a Q&A session with the filmmakers and Baan Noorg Art Collective.
Silhouette will showcase four films by local filmmakers Darren Whitcombe, Sam Lill, and Reuben Dunbar, offering a vivid exploration of Birmingham’s skateboarding scene.
Baan Noorg Art Collective will screen their project Churning Milk: The Rituals of Things, first presented at Documenta Fifteen in Kassel, Germany (2022). This participatory project connects skateboarding culture with dairy farming communities in Nongpho, Thailand, and Kassel, Germany, fostering cultural exchange and dialogue.

Baan Noorg Art Collective Films:
Churning Milk: The Rituals of Things: uses skateboarding as a cultural bridge, bringing together Thai farmers from Nongpho and their German counterparts to exchange knowledge and build community through workshops and events across regions.
A series of skateboarding and community-focused films from Baan Noorg’s performances and collaborations during Documenta 15.
