Central New York Oktoberfest 2022

Join us for a 2022 Oktoberfest at the New York State Fairgrounds! The German American Society of CNY has partnered with The Great New York State Marathon to host a weekend full of road races and German cultural celebration!

We will have traditional German food and music. Imported German beer as well as domestic favorites. Local wine selection. Vendors including German apparel and decor. There will be raffles, Stein hoist contest, the Bier Puppet, and a variety of activities, vendors and more! Traditional Oktoberfest music and dancers provided by Syracuse Oktoberfest Band, pictured below!

This weekend of races starts at the Chevy Court on the New York State Fairgrounds and passes through a series of beautiful tree lined trails with magnificent Fall colors and crisp fresh air around Onondaga Lake. The weekend kicks off the morning of Saturday October 15th with the 5k and 10k runs. Then continues the morning of Sunday October 16th with the full and half marathon's. All courses are certified and the marathon is a Boston Qualifier.

Admission is $5 per person. However admission is included if you sign up for one of the Great NYS Marathon Weekends races!

Proceeds from admission go towards the German American Society to fund its scholarship program for students of German and Kelleigh's Cause to fund rare disease research.

Tickets are sold online and at the door (Center of Progress Building)

Parking will be free in the Orange lot on the NYS Fairgrounds.

Saturday October 15th 2022: Doors Open to German American Club Members and Great NYS Marathon participants/guests at 10:00 AM. Doors Open to General Public at 11:00 AM. Saturday events end at 5:00 PM.

Sunday October 16th 2022: Doors Open to German American Club Members and Great NYS Marathon participants/guests at 10:00 AM. Doors Open to General Public at 11:00 AM. Sunday events end at 4:00 PM.
