Central City TIF Exploration Open House

Please join us for the Central City TIF Exploration Open House on Tuesday, April 30 from 5 – 7 pm at the Pacific Northwest College of Art, first floor.

Prosper Portland is currently exploring opportunities for potential new Tax Increment Financing (TIF) districts in the Central City to facilitate thriving neighborhoods and build upon years of community planning efforts (e.g. Central City 2035, Portland Housing Needs Analysis, Advance Portland, and various development Master Plans).

With the help of a Steering Committee representing a broad range of interests and expertise, staff have developed draft district scenarios for community feedback. This event is an opportunity to provide an update to and facilitate dialogue with community members including a brief presentation, Q&A, and district specific tabling.

Prosper Portland anticipates preparing final draft recommendations for the creation of new TIF districts this summer, with final recommendations to be presented to City Council for consideration in November 2024.
