About this Event
Centering Prayer is a receptive method of silent prayer developed in 1981 by Trappist Monk, Father Thomas Keating. We experience God’s presence within us - closer than breathing, closer than thinking, closer than consciousness itself. This method of prayer is both a relationship with God and a discipline to foster that relationship.
Led by Susan Turpin, a commissioned presenter of Centering Prayer under the guidance of Contemplative Outreach since 1998.
In person at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, in partnership with the Episcopal Church of the Resurrection.
Follow-up sessions will be held over 4 weeks on zoom and in person.
There is no fee for the workshop but registration will be required.
The workshop will be followed by a Contemplative Worship Service.
