What if you could actually talk to animals? Not in a "my dog understands me" way, but in a "I downloaded my brain into a robot beaver" way. That's exactly what college student Mabel does when she discovers a secret lab tech that lets her hop her consciousness into a lifelike robotic animal. Her mission: save the forest glade she grew up exploring with her grandma from a smooth-talking mayor (voiced by Jon Hamm, naturally) who wants to pave it into a freeway. What she finds in the animal world is way more than she bargained for. Pixar's latest is funny, chaotic, surprisingly moving, and yes, you are going to love Tom the lizard. Rated PG.
