Relive the Music of a Century
Join us for a gala celebration of the Weinberg’s 100-year history of cinema, musicals, and music! Featuring some of the greatest hits from each decade, paired with stories of iconic artists from countless films and Broadway shows, including The Wizard of Oz, The Sound of Music, Dirty Dancing, Titanic, Disney classics, and more. This concert promises monumental songs for everyone to enjoy.
Neil Berg is the composer/co-lyricist, along with Pulitzer Prize/TONY-winning playwright Robert Schenkkan, of the award-winning new musical The 12, which just finished a very successful pre-Broadway tryout. As a film composer, Neil scored and was the musical supervisor for the 2013 released film Once upon a Time in Brooklyn. As a producer, he is the creator and co-producer, along with his producing partner Adam Friedson, of Neil Berg’s 100 Years of Broadway and 50 Years of Rock & Roll, which continue to be one of the top Broadway touring concerts in the United States, playing over 100 shows a year for the past twenty years.
This show is part of the Weinberg Center’s LIVE! Series, celebrating iconic music and exceptional musicianship. The Weinberg Center, located in the heart of Downtown Frederick, MD, offers a historic backdrop and excellent acoustics for a memorable concert experience.
