Part 1 of this two part series, Genealogy Librarian Preston Petermeier will discuss what Census Records are and how can they be useful in Genealogy Research. Federal and State Censuses are great in that they offer a glimpse of where and what our families looked like at a given time period. This program will emphasize the evolution of these population schedules, the information they can provide, and how to access them. After the presentation, visitors are invited to explore census records in the Genealogy Room to discover more about your family.
