Join us for the Warner Robins Heritage Society's annual Cemetery Crawl - a tour of 7 cemeteries highlighting our long-standing local heritage.Start anytime between 11:30-2:30 at our booth in the parking lot of Blue Moon Antiques and Print Works Plus on Watson, where we'll provide our tour plan/info booklet. Then you're off on a self-driven tour of several cemeteries in the Warner Robins area. Our docents will be at each cemetery to tell you about it.
This year is a "Greatest Hits" edition of the Cemetery Crawl: seven of the most popular cemeteries from our 3 previous years as chosen by our fans in a poll, with a bit of fresh insight. A few of the families with deep local roots whose old family plots you will visit this year are Watson, King, Renfroe, Wheelus, Story, Miller, Wellborn, Holleman, and Self. Which cemeteries? Tickets are $10 per vehicle in advance by PayPal ([email protected]) or Venmo (@Cemetery-Crawl); tickets at the event will be $12 (no credit cards). Each ticket entitles you to 1 tour booklet containing details about the location and history of each site and selected biographical info on some of the relevant families and individuals. Additional booklets are available for $3 each.
PLEASE NOTE: No tickets will be given after 2:30 on the day of the event, but the docents will remain to guide you at the cemeteries for a reasonable time after the last ticket is given. This is a rain or shine event!
As an outdoor event, the Cemetery Crawl is naturally conducive to social distancing, but the WR Heritage Society is committed to following all CDC guidelines current at the time of the event.
