Co-produced in Canada and Uruguay, String of Pearls is a cross-cultural collaboration that pushes the boundaries between the worlds of folk and swing, evoking the grittiness of 1930s tango, Berlin cabaret and Hot Club Jazz. Annabelle will be joined by Toronto musicians, Rachel Melas on bass and Conny Nowe on drums. This will be Annabelle's third appearance at Celtic Connections, the first being in 2007 as a member of The Wailin' Jennys.
