CELT JIVES Orphanage Charity Fundraiser .
SAT 25th July 2026.
Just £10 on the door.
Over last few years we at Celt Jive with great support from dancers, have raised thousands of pounds
since covid for an orphanage in Indonesia that cares for over 60 children between the ages of 5 and 18.
There was no middleman....it went direct from us to the orphanage...
The money raised last year helped to pay to keep the orphanage going for another year, a safe haven in a very poor area run by 2 volunteers.. and receives no state aid and survives by handouts in the community....
We help to pay to keep the roof over their heads.. SAFETY & CARE IN A VERY POOR AREA.
In 2023 , our close friend Jeanny took Lynn and I to visit the orphanage whilst we were on holiday in Jakarta, a round trip of 8 hours in a mini bus.
We were greeted by the children and shown around the place...
It was very humbling...
The children were very reserved and probably wondered why we were there...
Previously, we ran a raffle during the freestyle, which helped us bolster our funds we collected on the night...plus dancers donated raffle prizes...
Celt Jive stood all the expenses for the night in hiring the venue etc so that by you attending our Charity Freestyle... you were helping directly...
We would like to support the orphanage again... and ask for your support once more...
And to have a great night's dancing...
