Fantastical art pop trio Cellophane Eyes has finally completed a labor of love that took more than 2 years to dream up and create: a beautiful, bizarre piece of art in the form of a music video. They are now ready to debut their creation to the community, and they’d love for you to be a part of it. Very special guests, Warren Dunes and Sweet Marilyn, will share the stage with Cellophane Eyes for a night of sick music and an exclusive debut screening of the surreal, the unsettling, the gorgeous, “Night Shade”! Cellophane Eyes:
The strange music of Cellophane Eyes is constantly changing and reimagining itself. Every performance is unique, playful, and usually features our latest experiment. Our songs feature a wide variety of instruments and vocal effects, and are packed with imagery and meaning, despite there being hardly any real words and mostly gibberish. Our live performances are a genre-jumping mixtape tied together by quirky interludes featuring brief dance numbers and instrument changes. Our mission is to take you on a voyage full of childlike wonder, chaos, escapism, altered realities, and nature. We’re not like all the other bands, and we don’t quite fit in anywhere. Warren Dunes:
Warren Dunes plays PNW Tropicalia and is led by keyboardist/vocalist Julia Massey. Their unique style of Beach Pop is born from the cold waters and grey sky beaches of the Puget Sound, and is highlighted by Massey’s double keyboards and crystalline voice, soaring over chimey guitars and danceable beats.
Sweet Marilyn:
Sweet Marilyn, an indie rock band from Tacoma, Washington, delivers a dynamic, emotionally charged sound that weaves together folk, indie, and eclectic influences. Led by Jade Monroe’s crystalline vocals and poignant lyrics, their music creates vivid, personal landscapes. With EJ Crocker’s powerful guitar, Elliott Turner’s driving bass, and Brady McCowan’s dynamic drumming, their sound is a journey through varied terrain. Sweet Marilyn’s debut album is set for release in October 2024.
