The first gathering of its kind in the world. For everyone death has touched — and everyone who has ever had to grieve alone.
About this Event

Some losses change the entire shape of your life.

A father. A best friend. A mother. A child. A partner who made the world make sense, and then didn't.

And after, the casseroles stop coming. The calls get less frequent. The world moves on in a way that feels like a small betrayal. And you are left inside a grief that has nowhere to go.

Celebration of Life Seattle was built for that exact moment.

What this is

A full-day gathering at The Point at Pier 70 on Seattle's Elliott Bay, one of the most stunning waterfront venues in the Pacific Northwest. 400 attendees. A curated vendor floor of 40 practitioners, organizations, artists, and makers whose work exists to serve people navigating grief and end-of-life transitions. Opening speakers and panels that go where most conversations won't. A nationally recognized keynote. And as the sun goes down over the water, an Evening of Mediumship featuring international mediums, because the relationship does not end when someone dies. It changes.

This is not a conference. It is not a support group. It is a community, carefully built, beautifully held, and designed to feel like the thing grief rarely offers: a room full of people who understand.

This event is spiritual, not religious. All faiths, all backgrounds, all beliefs are welcome.

Agenda

🕑: 11:00 AM - 11:30 AM
Doors Open for Wings + Ascend Ticket Holders

Info: Early entry for Wings and Ascend guests. The vendor floor is yours before anyone else arrives. Coffee, tea, and water are flowing. Take your time. This half hour is intentionally unhurried.

🕑: 11:30 AM
General Doors Open · Vendor Floor + Community Welcome

Info: All ticket holders are welcomed in. The Fireside Lounge comes alive with 20 to 40 curated vendors — grief therapists, death doulas, hospice organizations, memorial artists, somatic practitioners, ritual goods, books, botanicals, and more. Browse, connect, and find the things you didn't know you needed. Our Angels — volunteer team members in white — are with you from the moment you arrive.

🕑: 12:00 PM
Opening + Welcome
Host: Colleen Coleman

Info: Colleen Coleman opens the day from the main stage of the Needle's Point Ballroom. She will set the tone, name why this room exists, and welcome every person who walked through the door. This is not a conference opener. It is an invitation.

🕑: 12:10 PM
Opening Speakers

Info: Two carefully selected voices from the grief and end-of-life space take the stage. Honest. Grounded. Human. No platitudes, no performance — just the truth of what it is to love someone and lose them, spoken out loud in a room full of people who understand. Speaker lineup to be announced.

🕑: 01:00 PM
Panel Discussion

Info: A moderated panel brings together voices from across the grief and end-of-life landscape — hospice professionals, death doulas, grief therapists, spiritual care practitioners, and people living inside loss who are willing to say so out loud. These are the conversations that rarely happen anywhere else. Here, they are the entire point. Panel topic and speakers to be announced.

🕑: 02:00 PM
Community Break + Vendor Floor + Snack Service
🕑: 03:00 PM
Keynote

Info: Our keynote speaker is one of the most recognized voices in the death-positive space in the country. Their work has shifted the cultural conversation around mortality, grief, and what it means to die well and be remembered fully. Keynote speaker to be announced.

🕑: 04:00 PM
Transition + Comfort Break

Info: A final opportunity to visit the vendor floor, complete any booked sessions, and settle in before the evening begins. The room will shift during this hour — lighter, warmer, quieter. Pay attention to how it feels.

🕑: 05:00 PM - 06:30 PM
An Evening of Mediumship
Host: Colleen Coleman

Info: Doors close at 5:00 PM. This is a sacred container. No late entry.
As the light changes over Elliott Bay, the day becomes something more.
Colleen Coleman and a curated gathering of international mediums — brought together from around the world for one night only — offer a live demonstration of mediumship unlike anything available anywhere in the country.
This is a sacred, uplifting space for spiritual connection, healing, and heartfelt messages from the Spirit world. Throughout the evening, Colleen and her fellow mediums share spiritual insight, divine guidance, and connections from loved ones in Spirit.
Every gathering is unique. Spirit always has its own beautiful way of bringing forward the comfort, hope, validation, and healing that are most needed.
This is not entertainment. It is evidence — that love does not end when someone dies. That the relationship changes, but it does not disappear.
Not every person in the room will receive a message. Every person in the room will feel some

🕑: 06:45 PM - 07:45 PM
Ascend Champagne Toast (Ascend ticket holders only)

Info: Ascend guests are escorted upstairs to the private Waterfront Loft and Skyline Terrace — a stunning space with panoramic views of the Seattle skyline, Elliott Bay, and the Olympic Mountains. Champagne is waiting. Colleen and the international mediums join you. This is the most intimate experience of the day — 20 people, a balcony over the water, and the afterglow of everything that just happened in that room.
