I. Joe Harry Gluba aka Sr aka J.C. 75yro, Cedar Rapids Iowa died February 4th, 2026 in Mercy Hospice House.
II. Joe was born in Clinton, Iowa on May 28th, 1950 to Joseph and Caroline Gluba. Joe attended Cedar Rapids Jefferson High School. Where he later earned his high school diploma while serving in the United States Marine Corps. He was proud to reach the rank of Sergeant. Joe went on to acquire an Associate Degree in Technical Design Engineering from Kirkwood Community College and was a member of the Ironworkers Union Local 89. He was an active member of the Chosen Few Motorcycle Club 1971-1995.
III. Joe is predeceased by son Joe Jr, parents, sister, many aunts and uncles and infant grandson. Joe is survived by girlfriend Julie Slaman, son Gabe Gluba, sister Sherry Lee (Douglas) Schroeder; 4 grandchildren: Libby, Sawyer, Behric, andAly Kay; 1 bonus great granddaughter: A'riyah, and several nieces and nephews.
IV. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday February 21st, 2026 Noon-4pm at the Chosen Few Clubhouse 1027 9th St SW, Cedar Rapids, IA 52404. A light lunch will be served.
V. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Area Substance Abuse Council. Thank to Joe's caregivers at the VA and Mercy Hospice House.
