A New Westminster legend will be remembered.
The community is invited to attend a public Celebration of Life for Ernie "Punch" McLean, the legendary coach of the New Westminster Bruins and one of the most influential figures in Canadian junior hockey history.
For generations of hockey fans, Punch was more than a coach. He helped put New Westminster on the hockey map, leading the Bruins to back-to-back Memorial Cup championships and mentoring countless young athletes who went on to successful careers both on and off the ice.
Join family, friends, former players, and community members as we come together to honour a remarkable life and legacy.

- Service Begins: 11:00 a.m.
- Queen's Park Arena, New Westminster
The service will be hosted by renowned BC sports broadcaster Farhan Lalji and will include a special musical tribute by the Legion Centennial Pipes and Drums from New Westminster Legion Branch 2.
Whether you followed the Bruins during their glory years, knew Punch personally, or simply want to pay tribute to a New Westminster icon, all members of the community are welcome.
