Red Planet (Dean Magraw, Chris Bates, Jay Epstein) formed in 2003, plays innovative jazz sounds with a strong emphasis on creative interactivity. Now with the addition of brilliant pianist, Kavyesh Kaviraj to the band, the group elicits a perfectly strong/sensitive blend of empathetic musical spirits. The Planet is known for its unique interpretations of the music of John Coltrane, Thelonious Monk, and enchanting originals.
