Celebrating the Life of Kenneth Leslie Shannon "Ken" Ford

We invite you to join Ken's family, loved ones and chosen tribe to farewell and celebrate the life of this wonderfully colourful man, who inspired so many.

Even in his final days, Ken was famous for capturing the hearts and imaginations of all those lucky enough to encounter him even for the briefest of moments; young, old, wild and wise. Ken was renowned for celebrating every moment, every thing and everyone, and it is that magic that now brings us together to celebrate Ken in return...

A memorial will be held in Sydney on Thursday 19th May 2022, and a live Zoom / video link will be made available for those wishing to join the ceremony from afar (click here to join, or see link below). A live recoding will also be available at a later date for absentees.

• Date: Thursday 19th May 2022
• Time: 1:00pm prompt service commencement. (Please allow ample time for unexpected parking and transport delays.)
• Location: Palm House, Royal Botanical Gardens, Mrs Macquaries Rd, Sydney NSW 2000 (entry nearest to the NSW Art Gallery)
• Dresscode: "Smart Colourful" (please avoid black, if possible)

• Please kindly note that the immediate family will hold a private cremation ceremony in the days prior to this memorial service.
• We ask that you please allow ample time for unexpected parking and transport delays for a prompt 1:00pm service commencement.
• A seated memorial service for Ken will commence at 1:00pm, where a number of Ken's family members and friends will speak. Limited seating will be available.
• Following the service, light refreshments will be served, including canopés, non-alcoholic and alcholic beverages (including Kenny Boy's favourite whiskey, of course!)
• The service is expected to conclude around 4:00pm.

• Parking: Metered parking is available on Mrs Macquaries Road, Hospital Road and Macquarie Street (approximately 5-15 minute walk to Palm House). Secure, undercover parking is also available at the Domain Car Park. Mobility parking is available near the Wolloomooloo Gate and outside the Art Gallery of NSW.
• Train: The nearest stations are Martin Place (11 minute walk), St James (11 minute walk) and Circular Quay (17 minute walk).
