**UPDATE March 26: Due to the current Covid Pandemic, we have decided to postpone the event. It is currently uncertain what the situation will be in May. In interest of getting everyone together in a safe and relaxed setting, we will be re-scheduling the event for later in the year. Once the Covid situation is under control, we will send an announcement updating everyone with the new date. We will try to give at least 1-2 months notice prior to the new date so that everyone who wants to come has ample time to make arrangements.
Those who knew Barbara knew she loved a good party. Whether it was just the three of us going out to enjoy the latest restaurant mom had discovered, or dressing up in a costume and dancing with 60,000 others at Burning Man, she knew how to have a good time.
Before she passed she expressed her wishes for us to forgo a formal funeral and instead, celebrate her life with those who knew her, at a lively and vibrant setting.
The event will be at Lula Lounge, a live music venue and rastaurant that Barb enjoyed on a number of occasions. The colorful, bright and open setting felt perfect and we have the utmost confidence in the inhouse chef and kitchen staff to serve up some wonderful light fare.
The event will start at 11am and finish around 3pm. Besides food and drinks, there will be music, live performances, speaches, and an exhibit in honor of Barb. We look forward to sharing memories, and celebrating the extraordinary woman who touched so many and made a profound impact in this world.
