An offshoot project of the salsa band Bio Ritmo, Miramar features vocalist Rei Alvarez and Laura Ann Singh who "harmonize with so much precision and grace that it’s hard to imagine there was ever a day when they didn’t sing together.” - Style Weekly
The band is lead by pianist/DC native Marlysse Simmons-Argandoña backed by percussionist Giustino Riccio, guitarist Gary Kalar and rotation of guest bassist.
They've been featured on NPR's Tiny Desk, Lincoln Center Out of Doors, Kennedy Center's Millennium Stage, and festivals across the USA and Europe including as a featured artist at Symphony Pops Concerts.
